Match! version 4.2 Build 341 has been released
December 4, 2025
The new Match! version 4.2 Build 341 is bascially a maintenance release, providing some minor improvements as well as fixes for all currently known bugs:
- When you import a CIF crystal structure data file that contains multiple data sets (e.g. for Rietveld refinement), you will now be asked which data set you would like to import.
- The most recent edition "December 2025" of the COD reference database is used.
- All currently known bugs have been fixed:
- Several issues that might have caused the program to crash have been resolved.
- A bug causing too low intensity values when using the "Counts" scaling of the diffraction pattern has been fixed.
- Another bug that affected the number of CPU cores to be used for profile fitting search-match has been fixed. This bug could cause the profile fitting search-match not to work at all on machines with very few CPU cores or on virtual machines.
- Due to a bug, PLV format diffraction data files could not be imported if the sample name contained the keyword "data".
- Some minor bugs have been fixed as well.
